ROBERT L. BLACK, JR.
Judge Black was appointed by the United States District
Court for the Southern District of Ohio as Special Master Trustee of
the Bowling Pfizer Heart Valve Settlement Funds. Judge Black served
as a Judge for the Court of Common Pleas, Hamilton County, Ohio from
1973 to 1977 and as a Judge for the Court of Appeals, First Appellate
District of Ohio from February 1977 to January 1989. Prior to that,
Judge Black was in private law practice with Robert L. Black, Sr. and
as a partner with Graydon, Head & Ritchey. Judge Black served the
community as Councilman of the Village of Indian Hill from 1953 to 1965
and Mayor from 1959 to 1965. Judge Black was also Chairman of the Cincinnati
Human Relations Commission from 1967 to 1970 and has served his community
as a Member and/or Chairperson of a variety of civil organizations.
